Yes, you can turn your iPad into a fully functioning phone with BeMobile. You can:

• Make and receive low cost calls on your BeMobile numbers
• Make free and low cost calls on your SIM number
• Send low cost SMS to any phone from all numbers

• BeMobile uses your mobile phone number to validate your account and to send you an activation code.
• When you call or SMS from your SIM profile your number will display as the caller ID.
• Your BeMobile contacts will know they can call you for free.

BeMobile uses notifications to deliver BeMobile calls and messages. The app will not function correctly if you have notifications disabled.

• BeMobile is not a replacement for your mobile phone, you need a SIM number to validate and set up your account and to use all of its features.
• You may be able to port existing numbers on other phones you have to BeMobile. Please contact support@bemob.global.

• On iOS (Apple) devices:

  • Scroll down to BeMobile

  • Toggle on ‘Allow Notifications’

• On Android devices notifications should be enabled by default. Each Android handset is different but this may help. If notifications are not enabled:

An internet connection is required to use the BeMobile app. We recommend using BeMobile with Wi-Fi. If you are using BeMobile to make and receive calls over mobile data you may be charged by your mobile operator for data usage. Please check with your mobile operator.

Yes, you can avoid roaming fees when abroad by making/receiving calls and sending/receiving messages with the BeMobile app. We recommend you use Wi-Fi when abroad as your operator will charge you for data usage.

You can easily set up multiple additional mobile numbers that your contacts can call you on. This allows you to keep your main number private, create international presence and also save on roaming fees when you are abroad.

There are a variety of reasons you may not be able to make a BeMobile call:

• Are you connected to the internet? requires an internet connection. Please ensure your device is connected via Wi-Fi or mobile data.
• You have no free contacts – invite your contacts to BeMobile so you can call and message them for free.
• You have no credit – calls and SMS to non-BeMobile users are chargeable so you need some credit. You can buy credit here.
• You are not dialing correctly – All calls should be dialed in international format.
• You are dialing a special service, premium rate, satellite or IP numbers. BeMobile will not connect these calls.

To receive calls your contacts need to call one of your BeMobile numbers. You can easily share your number. From the app Home Screen click 🛈 and ‘Share my number’.

  • Click ‘Privacy’
  • Click ‘Microphone’

• Free Calls – Calls between BeMobile users are routed totally across the internet.
• Wi-Fi/mobile data – Calls are routed over the Internet via your Wi-Fi or 3G/4G data connection to BeMobile, where we connect you to the telephone network and the person you are calling. Use this method when you have a good internet connection.
• Local Access – This method is only used when you are in your home country, using a SIM card from that country. BeMobile connects using your local GSM minutes. This is a great way to use BeMobile, especially if you are out of range of a Wi-Fi hotspot and also have a monthly bundled minutes allowance.
• Callback – You click to call your contact as normal and BeMobile seamlessly ‘calls you back’ then connects you to the number you are calling. For use in countries where Local Access is not available. Callback calls are slightly more expensive as there are two parts to each call. The app requires a very small amount of data to initiate the call.

Calls to emergency numbers are not permitted. BeMobile is not a replacement for your telephone.

Premium numbers are blocked although some non-geographic numbers can be called. Contact support@bemobile.app for details on your specific need and we will share the rates.

BeMobile is an over the top service. You must have a mobile phone number from a recognized mobile provider in order to validate your account by SMS. You can then use your BeMobile account on tablets without the need for a SIM.

You can send free messages to any other BeMobile user. Your free Contacts are clearly displayed in your app. You can invite your contacts to BeMobile from the app.

You can send text and photo messages free to other BeMobile users

BeMobile SMS are cheaper than regular SMS, especially for international texts. You can send BeMobile SMS to any type of phone, anywhere in the world. You can also send and receive SMS from your additional BeMobile numbers.

Calls are charged in 60 second intervals, so calling for 5 minutes and 1 second is charged the same as 5 minutes and 59 seconds.

You can transfer credit to your BeMobile contacts from within the app. Select your SIM profile > Buy > Transfer > then select your contact. Contact support@bemobile.app if you require assistance.

Calls over Wi-Fi and Callback will not be charged. Your operator may charge you for mobile data, and for national calls if using BeMobile Local Access. Please check your mobile operator contract.

All our calls are charged in USD currency $. Calling and SMS rates are displayed as cents e.g. 22.5¢ stands for 22.5 USD cents or $0.22. However, when topping up credit, the cost is displayed in full dollar amounts e.g. $1.66. For purchases on iOS, Apple’s pricing format, currency conversion rates and required taxes apply. For Google, currency conversion rates and required taxes apply.

All calls made from a BeMobile registered number to another BeMobile registered number are free. Calls between BeMobile users and ordinary MSISDN (Mobile Station Integrated Services Digital Network) numbers are charged (i.e. calls from BeMobile to 07XX-XXX-XXX or +2547XX-XXX-XXX).

We support two payment options :

• Via In App Purchase through Debit / Credit card on Android and iOS. Additionally, we support Mpesa Express on Android.
• Via our website . We currently use DPO (https://dpogroup.com/ ) as a payment gateway. DPO accepts both Mobile Money and Debit / Credit cards payments. Mobile Money payments are accepted from Kenya, Uganda , Tanzania , Rwanda and Ghana.All payments on our website are made through the user dashboard that can be accessed by logging in on https://bemobile.app/login and clicking on the add credit button.

BeMobile numbers are real mobile phone numbers where the calls/messages are received by the BeMobile app over Wi-Fi or mobile data. They allow you to connect with people or share your number while keeping your personal number private.

BeMobile numbers are very reasonably priced, you can view costs in the app. Calls start at less than $0.01 per minute. All rates are visible in your app.

BeMobile numbers are available from your app home screen. Select on the plus icon to add a new BeMobile number.

Your BeMobile number will be removed once your subscription has expired and not been renewed

Lapsed BeMobile numbers cannot be retrieved

The app clearly displays when your BeMobile number(s) will expire in Settings. We will endeavour to notify you prior to the expiry date of your BeMobile number(s), however it is your responsibility to ensure you retain access to your number(s).

BeMobile can be used globally, but some of its features may be different depending on the country where you are based

A BeMobile account can be used from several different devices, but it’s not possible to make concurrent calls from different phones/devices with the same account.
